In this role, you will:

Qualifications:
  • Hold relevant state and/or national Sign Language Interpreter certification (EIPA, RID, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrate proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience in educational interpreting, preferred
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately interpret classroom lectures, group activities, and school events
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure student success
  • Facilitate clear communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and their peers/teachers
  • Adapt to various classroom settings and instructional formats
