Instructional Coach
Join Browning Public Schools as an Instructional Coach (IC) and be a vital part of enhancing classroom practices! As an IC, you will work collaboratively with teachers and school leaders to turn data insights into effective instructional strategies, thus bridging the gap between current student performance and desired outcomes. You'll play a central role in fostering a culture of continual learning and professional growth.
You will collaborate closely with the school principal and the School Leadership Team (SLT) to implement school improvement initiatives that align with our district's goals and challenges.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- DATA:
Assist teachers with interpreting formative and summative assessments. Help educators understand proficiency as it relates to state standards. Ensure responsive instruction through ongoing data analysis. Coach teachers on data-driven instructional modifications. - CAPACITY BUILDER AND CHANGE AGENT:
Build relationships that promote rigorous practice and a culture of collective efficacy. Plan and deliver high-quality professional learning that integrates into daily teaching. Facilitate teacher collaboration through structured learning and coaching conversations. Enhance instructional skills of novice teachers and provide timely feedback to support their growth. - SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT LEADER:
Commit to our district's mission, goals, and initiatives. Foster positive relationships at all levels. Model and apply evidence-based practices to improve student learning. Provide both whole group and individualized coaching using a structured approach. - ADVOCATE AND SUPPORTER:
Ensure teachers have the necessary resources for effective implementation. Participate in all professional development organized by the building principal. Collaborate with district personnel on curriculum and assessment development.
Qualifications:
- Education/
Experience:
Valid State of Montana Class 1 or 2 Teaching Certificate. Minimum of three (3) years' successful teaching experience. Proficient in using technology for curriculum delivery. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate and work effectively with students. Proficiency in diverse instructional strategies. Genuine commitment to student learning and excellent work habits. - Desirable
Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience (3 years preferred). Knowledge of designing instruction for diverse learners. Experience in Native American communities is a plus. Strong technology skills.
