St. Labre Indian School is a Catholic educational community dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Catholic Tradition. Role Description

The Director of Mission & Ministry Integration is a full-time, on-site role located in Ashland, MT, responsible for ensuring that the school’s Catholic mission and ministry are authentically integrated into all programs, operations, and community life. This role oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of mission-centered initiatives, collaborating with school leadership, faculty, staff, and community partners to align activities with the school’s Catholic and Native American cultural values.

Daily responsibilities include guiding spiritual and pastoral programs, offering consultation on mission-related matters, and supporting liturgical and faith formation activities. The director monitors and assesses the effectiveness of mission integration efforts, prepares reports and recommendations, and engages in regular communication and relationship‑building with stakeholders. The role also involves stewardship of relevant budgets and resources, participation in strategic planning, and fostering an environment of respect, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications
  • Strong Analytical Skills to assess mission effectiveness, interpret data, and inform decision-making.
  • Experience in Integration of mission and values across programs, operations, and community initiatives.
  • Proven Program Management skills for designing, implementing, and evaluating ministry and mission‑related programs.
  • Background in Consulting, providing guidance and support to leaders, staff, and partners on mission and ministry alignment.
  • Competence in Budgeting for ministry and mission programs, including planning, monitoring, and resource allocation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Catholic theology, tradition, and pastoral practice.
  • Sensitivity to and respect for Native American cultures, with experience working in diverse or Indigenous communities preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, religious studies, education, social sciences, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant pastoral/ministerial training is a plus.
  • Leadership experience in mission, ministry, education, or nonprofit settings, with the ability to mentor and support others.
