Water Plant Operator

The City of Cut Bank, Montana is looking to hire a full time Water Plant Operator. The Water Plant Operator will operate and maintain the water, the water pumping, water treatment plant and water distribution, take samples, tests and perform analysis of water and its treatment. The Operator will also be responsible for maintaining a daily record of shift operations and performing various tasks in equipment maintenance.

The starting pay is $26.27 per hour. Benefits include retirement, health insurance, paid holidays, paid vacations, and sick leave. You will also receive a family membership to our Civic Center and Swimming Pool.

The City of Cut Bank is located just 45 minutes east of Glacier National Park. We are minutes away from world-class hunting, fishing, and hiking. Our City is growing, and we have various businesses including several restaurants, a hardware store, auto parts stores and grocery stores. We also have a newly established walking trail, a recently updated dog park and a city park next to the Cut Bank Creek.

• -Graduation from High School or it equivalent
• - CDL with appropriate endorsements
• - Must have a Class I Surface Water Treatment Certification within one year of hire
• - May be required to obtain a Class II Water Distribution Certification
• - Prior work experience with a water and wastewater system desirable.
• - Good understanding of mechanical operations of pumps and plumbing techniques
