The Senior HSE Engineer contributes to the development of the HSE culture on the entire site, ensuring that the HSE areas are an integral part of the projects in order to control the risks for people, the environment, and safety. He/she pilots HSE projects to improve our practices and ensures compliance with Mars standards and processes, as well as with French and European legislation.

What are we looking for?

• Bac+4/5 in HSE, QSE or industrial risk management
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial environment
• Expert in the HSE field or strong interest in safety/protection of people and the environment
• Professional level of English, read, write, and speak

What will be your main missions?

Projects:

- Pilots improvement projects for Safety/Working Conditions/Ergonomics and Environment aimed at reducing risks for people and the environment

- Is the HSE reference for investment and transformation projects

HSE management system:

- Participates in the application of Mars standards and regulations

- Conducts and participates in accident investigations

- Performs risk assessments in case of situations deviating from standards, and issues adequate recommendations

- Participates in the deployment of the safety pillar of the MSE (Mars Supply Excellence) program

- Participates in regulatory monitoring

- Establishes and maintains up-to-date HSE documentation

- Participates in the follow-up of the good implementation of periodic checks in partnership with the concerned services

Audits and risk assessments:

- Participates in internal and external audits (region, insurers, DREAL...)

- Participates in the maintenance of the unique document

- Conducts information sessions dedicated to prevention plans with order givers and external companies

- Participates in the preparation of the shutdown

Indicators:

- Participates in annual regulatory declarations (GEREP declaration, GIDAF, Water Agency, FACCO…)

- Updates HSE indicators and informs the site and group tools

Site safety:

- Participates in the management of security activities: annual contract, technical follow-up of security agents, analysis of incident reports...

Training / awareness:

- Conducts and animates training/awareness modules in the HSE field

- Conducts communications/awareness campaigns
