The role of Site Industrialisation Manager is to lead a team of PPI (product process implementation & improvements) and CVS (commissioning, validation, startup) engineers focusing on:
- The implementation of new products, processes, and packaging (equipment/lines) in the factory.
- The continuous improvement of capacities and means through all changes impacting processes, products, and packaging.
- The resolution of complex problems, using advanced problem-solving techniques and 6 sigma methodologies to support the different pillars of the Mars Supply Excellence program such as FMOS, targeted improvement...
He is part of the site management team and plays a major role in coordinating activities between global, regional, and local functions.
What We Are Looking For ?- University degree in engineering, in the food industry or general, or equivalent qualification.
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
- 7 years of experience in Supply Chain (PPI, engineering, process technology, or manufacturing).
- Project management experience.
- Experience in the fields of quality, R&D, or continuous improvement.
Innovation
- With your team, develop and execute R&D strategies for growth, quality, and efficiency by implementing R&D innovations on the site regarding products, packaging, processes, and packaging equipment/lines.
- Conduct trials on lines, write test reports, and provide technical contributions to the global R&D industrialization team throughout the lifecycle of the activity for product implementation projects.
- Be responsible for setting up operational control systems, including change management, industrial "go," transfers (Hand over 1 &
2), and qualification review for product launch projects on the site, following the industrialization process. - Join the regional PPI platform in terms of technology, best practices, and knowledge transfer as part of multi-site harmonization measures.
Project Management and CVS Team
- With your team, lead the CVS (commissioning, validation, and startup) for innovation and non-innovation activities.
- Lead the coordination of projects between cross-functional teams (on-site and off-site) to achieve breakthrough projects and/or improve efficiency (Do it Best).
- Participate in the submission of investment requests to identify and evaluate benefits.
- Support the site management in the development of the strategy and pilot its execution.
- Ensure workload management and prioritization for the site and the PPI team.
Standardize & Improve
- Work on new standards and define standard operating conditions (SRC - standard running condition) in the concerned perimeter.
- Collaborate with Operation and Technical services to validate any standard definition and to deploy them.
- Support the continuous improvement team in analyzing performance indicators (KPI) to identify key improvements and increase efficiency and capacity.
- Use expertise to help operational (via FMOS) and technical (via targeted improvements) teams in the factory to solve complex problems, relying on 6 sigma.
- Be responsible for defining training modules to develop and maintain functional competencies of employees, particularly in the areas of processes (grinding, extrusion), packaging, and flows.
