Controller/Finance Manager

Hef Associates is looking for a Controller/Finance manager for a highly valued client. As Controller/Finance manager you manage and analyze financial data of an important business unit and act as sparring partner for the management and the MT. It concerns a new business unit that will undergo considerable growth, which means that there is still much to be set up. You will be given the opportunity to make your own contribution.

You will also be responsible for managing the financial administration (approx. 10 employees). In addition to your role as Controller/Finance Manager, you will also play a leading role in the optimization of the ERP platform (Net Suite) across the Finance community.
Your main duties:

• Managing the operational finance team. Supervise, coach and develop the team;
• Sparring partner for management and MT;
• Contribute to strategic projects and provide financial and business analysis with a pro‑active role towards management;
• Responsible for financial administrations and providing periodic reports and financial statements, including delivery of financial statement files;
• Provide and oversee the budgeting, planning and control cycle for these companies;
• Contribute to cost control and efficiency improvement projects, optimize management information and business processes;
• Contribute to further rollout and optimization of Netsuite and use of Power BI;

• Bachelor's or Master's degree toward accounting - business economics;
• At least 8 to 10 years of relevant (accountancy) work experience;
• People manager / organizational talent with leadership experience;
• Excellent analytical skills and problem solving ability;
• Sturdy, independent personality with persuasiveness;
• Highly communicative;
• Adequate knowledge of financial software Oracle Netsuite and Power BI are a plus;
• Hands on and pragmatic attitude.
