Head of Tax, Trust - Malta

A fiduciary organisation based in Malta is looking to hire a Head of Tax to lead the firm's tax advisory and compliance function. This senior role will be responsible for direct and indirect tax, payroll-related tax matters and the immigration advisory service line. The aim being to build out tax services as part of the firm's extended service offering.

Key responsibilities will also include overseeing delivery of direct and indirect tax compliance and advisory services to clients. Lead the immigration advisory service line, including residency and related tax matters. Oversee payroll tax compliance and coordination with the payroll function. Recruit, manage and develop the tax team and report on service delivery, risk and technical matters to a senior business operations director.

The successful candidate will be a qualified tax professional with ACCA, ATP, CTA or equivalent qualifications. At least 7+ years experience in tax within a trust, corporate services or professional services environment is essential. Strong cross-border, wealth planning or international tax experience is essential.
