DescriptionLoyola Mac Neal has an excellent opportunity for a patient safety attendant to join the Clinical Resource Unit located at Mac Neal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois. Our team of registered nurses, patient care techs, care managers, social workers, residents, and physicians are dedicated to providing compassionate care to the diverse community we serve.
Responsibilities- Support care delivery on the nursing unit by ensuring patient safety in a 1:1 environment.
- Ensure constant and direct observation of patients at risk of harming self and/or others.
- Assist assigned staff (RNs and/or PCTs) to meet comfort and hygiene needs, including toileting, ambulation, position changes, hair care, and feeding.
- Maintain direct patient observation during all patient activities, including toileting and transportation.
- Assist with ambulating patients and with transfer/transport procedures.
- Perform documentation and communicate effectively to meet patient/family needs and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information.
- Utilize time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years related experience preferred.
Salary Range: $15.30 - $18.51 per hour.
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
