Pharmacy Technician

Position Summary

A Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to prepare medications, manage medication inventory, and support the delivery of pharmaceutical services to patients in a hospital setting. This role involves assisting with medication preparation, sterile and non‑sterile compounding, maintaining accurate medication records, maintaining medication inventory, stocking medications, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

High school diploma or equivalent required. College courses are desirable but not required. Current incumbents must show active progress towards obtaining Pharmacy Technician certification and Montana licensure and obtain a Certified Pharmacy Technician Provisional license through the Board of Pharmacy. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam success is required within 1 year of obtaining provisional license. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
