EEG Technician

Role Overview

This position involves performing neurodiagnostic procedures related to electroencephalography (EEG) and polysomnography, with responsibilities varying by role level from Associate EEG Technician to Senior EEG Technician. The role includes learning and executing routine and complex EEG procedures, providing diagnostic testing, patient care, and education, and supporting associated interventions such as CPAP, Bi-level, and O2 titration.

• Perform neurodiagnostic procedures following department protocols.
• Assist in complex EEG and sleep studies, analysis, and patient interventions.
• Provide patient education and support, ensuring quality care.
• Train and oversee other staff members as needed.

• Relevant certifications, including BLS and EEG-specific credentials, depending on the level.
• Computer skills and experience with neurodiagnostic techniques.
• Preferred qualifications include advanced education, experience, and specialized training in EEG or sleep studies.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
