Role Overview
This position involves providing patient care and administrative support as a Medical Assistant or Associate Medical Assistant
. Under the delegation of a licensed practitioner, you will perform clinical duties such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, along with administrative tasks to support patient care. The role requires relevant training or experience, including graduation from an accredited program, military medical training, or equivalent. Qualifications include basic life support certification and preferred certification as a Medical Assistant.
Key skills include clinical competence, patient communication, and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Assist in delivering patient-centered care within established policies and regulations
- Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, injections, and medication administration
- Support administrative functions related to patient care
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and safety protocols
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent experience
- Minimum one year of clinical and healthcare experience
- CPR/BLS certification upon hire
- Preferred:
National Medical Assistant Certification and experience with EHR systems - Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
