Certified Medication Aide II(CMA)

Pioneer Care and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide II (CMA) to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective medication administration for our patients/residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications accurately following the five rights of medication administration (right patient, right medication, right dose, right route, right time).
  • Monitor patients/residents for any adverse reactions to medications and report them promptly to the nurse.
  • Take vital signs and document them according to facility protocol.
  • Assist patients/residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed (may vary by facility).
  • Maintain accurate and complete medication administration records (MAR).
  • Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment by following infection control protocols.
  • Respond to patient call bells and requests in a timely and courteous manner

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Medication Aide II (CMA) in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of medication administration principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient with a positive attitude.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically able to perform the essential duties of the job, which may include standing for long periods, lifting, and assisting patients/residents.
