Housekeeper; Winter

Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for performing all daily housekeeping duties, ensuring guest rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and presentable. This includes cleaning, resetting rooms, changing linens, making beds, turndown service, and responding to guest requests.

• Clean and reset guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and public areas
• Change linens and make beds
• Conduct turndown service in the evenings
• Organize collateral on tables and straighten furniture
• Clean, dust, and vacuum rooms and public areas
• Empty trash and stock satellite closets
• Provide and retrieve linen supplies
• Maintain courtesy and helpfulness toward hotel guests, reporting any guest requests or preferences
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner as outlined by supervisors
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may fall outside the normal scope of duties based on business needs

• Positive, upbeat personality with a pleasant image for the property
• Comfortable responding to and carrying out specific guest needs and requests
• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training preferred

• Required to stand, walk, handle or feel objects, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl
• Occasionally required to climb or balance
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (sometimes up to 25 pounds)
• Exert physical effort to clean several rooms or areas per shift
