The Housekeeping Lead is a great opportunity for someone with some housekeeping experience to explore leading a team without the full responsibilities of managing a team. This position reports to the Operations Manager and will coordinate the daily cleaning and preparation of cabin rooms, common spaces, and general ranch cleanliness with the hospitality team. They will provide 5-star service and attention to detail for each guest.

They will lead our team and work collaboratively to accomplish daily cleans, cabin checks and weekly turnovers. The Housekeeping Lead will ensure that every room is cleaned to the high standards of West Creek Ranch and our dedication to luxury. They will follow trained procedures of chemical use and cleaning routines for our variety of surfaces and will track inventory and ordering as needed to supply our crew with the appropriate materials to succeed.

Qualifications

and Education Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of working knowledge of housekeeping operations and procedures.
  • Experience training entry-level employees.
  • Demonstrate ability to delegate tasks, work alongside the team and maintain high morale among staff.
  • Effective analytical and decision‑making skills
  • Highly detail oriented, both with cleaning quality and supply inventory.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across a variety of shifts with different staff.
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the job which include repetitive motions, standing, sitting, kneeling, bending, twisting, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather to complete the task.
Preferred Skills
  • Prior work at a guest ranch in the housekeeping industry.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory position to lead a collaborative team.
  • Inventory and ordering experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office.
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on procedures and expectations as needed for housekeeping shifts.
  • Promote positive relations and resolve any cleanliness conflicts arising with guests.
  • Review weekly staffing schedule to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Complete weekly laundry rotation, including stain treatment as needed and organizing linens to be washed in proper cycles.
  • Report on inventory as needed with Operations Manager to keep cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment stocked and in good condition.
  • Conduct pre‑shift staff meetings, communicating pertinent information from any guest feedback or leadership meetings.
  • Utilize daily task checklists to ensure all areas of the ranch are kept clean and maintained, and provide feedback for any improvements as needed.
  • Ensure all work is distributed fairly and equitably, while working alongside team members.
  • Display a positive attitude and maintain a cooperative working relationship with managers and all other associates.
  • Ensure all safety standards and requirements are met and maintained.
  • Support other departments as needed.
  • Annually evaluate and enhance existing program with the philosophy of continually striving to improve.
