Description
Our client has an immediate need for a PC Technician, located in Libby, MT. The role is on-site in Libby, MT.
ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision, the candidate will provide second‑tier support to end‑users for PC, server, mainframe applications and hardware. The candidate will address problems that the first‑tier help desk cannot resolve, may interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service or correct core problems, simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties, recommend system modifications, maintain currency and high technical skill, and/escalate complex problems to senior level.
Support responsibilities include software installation, configurations, technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers by telephone or on‑site for PC desktop hardware and software packages. The technician installs and tests PCs, printers and peripherals, configures operating systems, loads shrink‑wrap programs and other application software. They troubleshoot printer, computer and peripheral incidents, perform hardware and software diagnostics, coordinate necessary repairs, resolve computer system problems, coordinate between users and local area network components, and participate in evaluating system configuration and software.
- Windows 10, Windows 7, Hardware, Desktop, Active Directory, Imaging, Troubleshooting, MS Office 2013
- Remedy or similar ticketing system
- Strong analytical, follow‑through, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coordinate with multiple IT areas, work independently on defined tasks, and work as part of a team
Skills & Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level I (e.g., A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSCP, CCNA‑Security)
- Experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, MS Office 2013
- Experience with Remedy or similar ticketing system
- Experience maintaining Lexmark, HP, or Ricoh printer devices
- Prior USACE/ACE‑IT experience
- Experience working in a DoD environment
- Experience supporting Office 365
Entry Level
Job Type & LocationContract position based out of Libby, MT. Fully on‑site.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour.
