Seasonal Production Forklift Driver 2nd Shift

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seasonal position – June to December.

Job Title: Seasonal Production Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift

Reports To: Production Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly $13.78

The Production Forklift Driver is responsible for running the scales and hauling finished product to the freezer. They keep production lines full with pallets and packaging. Drivers must have and maintain a company‑issued forklift license, keep the area clean, safe, and organized, and complete required department training.

• Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders
• Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies
• Fill out daily production records completely, correctly, and legibly
• Tape totes with no more than 4" hanging from each side
• Label trash bins appropriately (e.g., Waste, Plastic Cardboard)
• Label byproduct totes with a time‑stamp sticker
• Ensure correct pallets are used for each customer contract
• Ensure labeling and counts are correct on finished product pallets
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Report any accidents (including near miss accidents) immediately to supervisor

• Above average safety skills
• Excellent attendance skills
• Ability to read, write and speak English and distinguish between all grades of pallets
• General knowledge of forklift operations and safety measures
• Experience driving a forklift
• Must possess or obtain a valid forklift license

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent preferred
• At least 2 months of forklift operation experience

• Capability to lift up to 60 lbs; sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods; enter and exit the Hi‑lo cab multiple times

• Exposed to wet and slippery floors, moving mechanical parts and vehicles; noise moderate to loud; variable temperatures
