Production line associates clean, cut, inspect, package, and label commodities from the raw stage through final product while maintaining a clean and contaminant-free worksite. Applicable department/area of responsibility training is required and must be maintained.
Perform sorting for any defects and foreign material in raw or finished goods area. Trim stems and tops from produce using knives and machetes. Distribute product evenly into dicers. Rake beans, winter squash, zucchini, and asparagus onto conveying system. Unload peas into hopper using mechanical hydraulic lifts. Assemble totes, place liners in cardboard totes, and ensure produce is labeled correctly. Stack 28-pound pails of puree.
Know calibration verification of IQF scales.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders.
- Adhere to all food safety and GMP policies.
- Inspect and remove all product that is not up to quality standards.
- Remove all foreign objects.
- Ensure all products are packaged correctly.
- Ensure product is labeled correctly.
- Follow SOPs and safety standards.
- Follow GMP rules and federal and state regulations.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds.
Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by their supervisor.
Required Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Above average attendance skills.
- High school diploma/GED equivalent, preferred.
- Manual dexterity required for using hand tools and operating machinery; lift up to 50 pounds; stand or walk for prolonged periods.
- Exposed to wet and slippery floors, occasionally moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Noise level is usually moderate to loud; temperature varies between heat and cold.
