Job Description & How to Apply Below
High Divide Minerals is looking for a hands‑on Process Engineer who wants to be in the plant, solving problems in real time and driving measurable improvements. This is not a desk‑only role—this position is embedded in daily operations, working directly with operators, maintenance, and leadership to improve performance.
If you enjoy troubleshooting, optimizing processes, and seeing the direct impact of your work on production, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do Operate in the Plant – Not Just the Office- Spend significant time in the plant working alongside operators and supervisors
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in flotation, grinding, and sizing circuits
- Provide real‑time solutions to improve uptime, recovery, and throughput
- Support grinding circuit performance (mills, throughput, efficiency)
- Improve classification and sizing systems (cyclones, screens, etc.)
- Monitor key performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
- Identify and implement practical improvements to plant systems
- Scope, justify, and execute small capital projects
- Work hands‑on with maintenance and contractors during install and startup
- Ensure projects deliver real operational value—not just paperwork
- Jump into plant issues and help resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Run trials, test ideas, and implement changes quickly
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and mine teams
- Help align plant performance with changing ore conditions
- Support and coach operators on process improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, or related Engineering field
- 4–8 years of plant experience in mineral processing
- Strong background in flotation, milling, and process troubleshooting
- Experience working directly in an operating plant environment
- Proven ability to execute small projects and drive improvements
- Hands‑on, practical mindset—you prefer being in the field over behind a desk
- Strong troubleshooting skills and bias for action
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment
- High visibility role with direct impact on plant performance
- Opportunity to lead meaningful improvements and projects
- Tight‑knit, collaborative team environment
- Ability to see your work translate into results every day
- Plant‑based role with frequent exposure to industrial conditions
- Requires time in active processing areas around heavy equipment
