Food Factory Trainer
Montana Department of Corrections – Deer Lodge, MT.
Responsibilities- Train and supervise inmate workers in all aspects of commercial cook–chill food production while ensuring compliance with facility security, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Oversee ingredient preparation, production orders, and food quality using standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines.
- Assist in screening inmate workers, maintain production records and reports, and ensure efficient operation in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment.
- Successful completion of a vocational training program in food service operation/cooking and/or one year of institutional or commercial cooking or production experience.
- Successful completion of Serv Safe during the first six‑month probationary period.
- Successful completion of Better Processing School within the first year.
- Strong management ability to deal effectively and professionally with inmates.
Hourly rate: $24.74.
