Assembler II Job Description
The Assembler II is responsible for maintaining accuracy, quality, and efficiency while performing light assembly duties and production tasks. The role includes assisting the Assembly I position and Production Team Leads, working in various departments, managing independent projects, and being available for overtime as needed. The position reports to the Production Manager at Imperial Blades.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- All duties and responsibilities of an Assembler I position.
- Desire and ability to be cross trained to work in other departments.
- Flexibility in daily tasks including rotating positions, changing workstations and departments.
- Assist in the set up of machinery or equipment used in production processes.
- Serve as a point of contact and assist others in the absence of a Team Leader.
- Has in-depth knowledge and experience of all production processes.
- Is engaged and involved when changes are made or there are new tasks, procedures and assemblies.
- May be assigned special projects and other duties.
- Complete requests with a good attitude by the required deadlines.
- All skills and qualifications of an Assembler I position.
- Possess necessary computer skills to utilize required manufacturing software systems.
- Is able to think independently and work without direction.
- Possess dependability and accountability.
- Is able to communicate effectively any needs or changes to team members.
- HS diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- 1‑2 years of production, assembly or packaging related experience preferred.
- Has worked independently and as part of a team.
- Basic English skills to understand quality, safety, work instructions, personnel information, etc.
The employee may be required to frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Prolonged standing of eight or more hours a day, frequent walking, occasional bending, crouching, twisting, reaching. Employees may be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells.
