We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Practice/Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic IHS team at Blackfeet in Browning, MT. As an NP in our IHS Family medical clinic, you will provide exceptional medical care to patients of all ages and health concerns. This is a full-time contract/locums opportunity in our outpatient clinic.
- 8-hour shifts, 8 am - 5 pm
- Monday through Friday
- Full-time hours
- Up to 1-year contract with extension options
- Family Practice or Internal Medicine experience required
- 2-3 years of experience needed
- IHS facility experience preferred
- Previous locum/travel experience preferred
- Board certification required
- Work on any US license
- Adult and Pediatric experience required

What You'll Do:
Provide excellent Nurse Practitioner services in our family clinic, focusing on improving health for American Indian and Alaska Native patients. Conduct patient interviews, examinations, review medical history, perform tests, offer treatments, and provide guidance and education. Prescribe medications, familiarize yourself with IHS formulary, collaborate on quality improvement, and follow safety procedures. Respect patient dignity and use the Patient Referred Care process for referrals.

Requirements:
- Certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- 2+ years of experience as a Family, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care NP preferred
- Current, active, unrestricted license from any US state or territory
- DEA registration
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen residing primarily within the US.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience required.
Credentialing: Complete all requirements within 10 days of offer acceptance.
Federal Security Clearance: Willing to complete and pass the clearance process.
