Overview

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery travel assignment in Wolf Point, MT, United States. Start date 07/20/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care for Labor and Delivery patients, including monitoring labor progress, fetal status, pain management, and intrapartum interventions
  • Deliver or assist with newborn care immediately after birth, including assessments, transition, feeding support, bonding, and safety
  • Maintain continuity of care by managing newborns delivered and collaborating with the obstetric team; when volumes are low, cover Med/Surg to maintain full-time hours
  • Monitor maternal and neonatal status, administer medications per protocol, and document in the electronic health record accurately
  • Float to Med/Surg as needed, participating in multidisciplinary rounds and ensuring patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies
Requirements
  • Active Montana Registered Nurse license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Labor & Delivery and/or Medical-Surgical units; OB/Delivery experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, weekends, holidays, and float to other units as needed
  • Education:

    graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN or BSN preferred
  • Must be able to provide safe, high-quality care in a busy obstetric setting and collaborate effectively with the care team
