Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse - CVICU RN

Requirements:

• Current State RN Licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Recent open heart recovery nurse experience
• Ability to operate advanced medical equipment including A-lines, invasive lines, and chest tubes
• Experience in critical care and CVICU preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide care for hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a cardiac medical surgical unit.
• Offer physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients and their families.
• Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
• Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff.
• Deliver direct patient care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.
• Monitor patients for potential deteriorating conditions and intervene as necessary.
