Registered Nurse; Intensive Community Mental Health Recovery

Overview

The Intensive Community Mental Health Recovery (ICMHR) Registered Nurse (RN) provides evidence-based care to patients and contributes to nursing education, orientation, competencies, and quality improvement to enhance outcomes.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on Mental Health (MH) specific components.
• Coordinate patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction across the MH continuum of care.
• Follow established policies and guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to influence care outcomes.
• Engage in unit/program level quality improvement processes and customer service initiatives.
• Support Veterans homes, community locations, and VA appointments as needed.

• English language proficiency.
• Graduate of a professional nursing program approved by a recognized accrediting body (e.g., ACEN or CCNE).
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration in a U.S. state or territory (or District of Columbia).
• For bridge or entry programs: eligibility to be appointed temporarily while pursuing licensure and to convert to permanent upon graduation.

  Foreign nursing education requires credential evaluation for equivalence where applicable.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs, with or without accommodations as appropriate.
