Hospice Area Executive – Clinical Operations

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall planning, directing, organizing, staffing, monitoring and reporting on all patient care activities
• Maintains full responsibility for all day-to-day functions related to patient/family care services
• Ensures high-quality delivery of patient services and compliance with regulations
• Regularly participates in internal and external hospice care-related education programs
• Coordinates with the Hospice Area Market Executive
• Directly supervises five to ten teammates
• Assures the highest standards of hospice care are met

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• Two (2) to three (3) years of leadership and nursing experience in hospice or healthcare strongly preferred
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in state of employment highly preferred but not required
• Current CPR certification required
