Peri Operative Services Registered Nurse
The Peri Operative Services Registered Nurse provides expert nursing care to patients across all age groups during the peri-operative period, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes from admission to discharge. The role involves working in the operating room setting with a focus on orthopedic, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ health status and peri-operative needs prior to surgery.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage patient comfort during procedures.
- Assist with surgical procedures and ensure adherence to sterile techniques.
- Educate patients and families about peri-operative processes and post-operative care.
- Provide call coverage as scheduled to support 24/7 patient care needs.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with relevant state licensure.
- Proven experience working in peri-operative or operating room settings.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Certification in peri-operative nursing (CNOR) preferred.
