CVICU Registered Nurse

Great Falls, Montana Compensation: $115,000 to $125,000 per year

This hospital system serves over 250,000 residents across 17 counties in Montana and is hiring a full time Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The unit maintains strong nurse to patient ratios and supports patients requiring advanced cardiac and physiological monitoring.

Schedule:

Full time, on site, three 12 hour day shifts per week (3x12s), four days off weekly.

Compensation: $115,000 to $125,000 per year, based on documented years of critical care experience.

What You'll Do:
This RN will provide direct clinical care to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients from admission through discharge, including patients requiring advanced physiological monitoring. Daily work includes operating mechanical ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, multiple titration IV pumps, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), as well as monitoring patients on cardiac assist devices such as intra aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Impella pumps.

This nurse will also serve as a clinical resource on the floor, coordinating with RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and ancillary staff, and will collaborate with providers, charge nurses, and nursing leadership on evidence based care plans and discharge planning. Timely, accurate electronic documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes is expected throughout each shift.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing)
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Montana, or immediate eligibility for compact/endorsement licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtained within 6 months of hire
• Clinical experience in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit combined with recent Critical Care or ICU experience involving cardiovascular surgery patients
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• 1 to 2 years of Cardiac Surgical ICU experience
• Hands on experience with Impella pumps, intra aortic balloon pumps, and CRRT equipment
