American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of specialty experience and ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications for a combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department.
Details- Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting
- 13-week assignment with Night (3x12, 17:45-6:15) and Day (3x12, 6:15-17:45) shift options
- Uses Cerner charting system
- No floating to other hospitals or affiliate facilities unless otherwise agreed upon during interview/offer
- Active RN license (Montana or Compact) required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 1 year of ER specialty experience required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- References required for consideration
- Skilled in triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
- Skilled in care of ventilated patients and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
- Experience treating pediatric and adult emergency conditions including abdominal pain, asthma, burns, head injury, seizures, and respiratory infections
- Experience with orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Ability to identify and report neglect or abuse
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions in a combined ED setting
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius to qualify for travel assignment (local candidates not accepted)
- Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before returning
- License or background check hits considered on a case-by-case basis
