Imagine yourself as a Pastry Baker at Big Sky Resort and having the opportunity to:
- Produce consistently delicious pastries, cakes, chocolates, and other sweets to meet high-volume and banquet needs
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to create beautiful and flavorful desserts
- Measure, mix, bake, and plate with care and efficiency
- Communicate supply needs and help set daily production priorities
- Write prep lists and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized station and kitchen
- Implement feedback from culinary leadership with a team-focused attitude
- Build strong relationships with fellow back-of-house team members
- Adhere to Boyne Standards and Boyne Basics for quality and consistency
Recipe for Success:
- At least 1 year of experience in pastry production or baking, especially in high-volume settings
- Passion for culinary arts, particularly pastry and baking
- Knowledge of food handling, storage, sanitation, and temperature control
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to accommodate dietary needs and allergies
- Reliable, responsible, and calm under pressure
- Comfort with repetitive tasks and maintaining efficiency in a busy kitchen
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds
- Stand for at least 8 hours and climb stairs multiple times per shift
- Carry trays with either hand
