Summary Of Role
This is a temporary role. The Post-Construction Cleanup Technician performs final cleaning services at residential, commercial, and industrial construction sites to prepare buildings for occupancy and client turnover. This position is responsible for removing construction debris, dust, adhesives, paint overspray, and other materials while ensuring the property meets quality and safety standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will ensure move in ready for the client.
Technicians work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and must follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and Montana workplace requirements.
Job DescriptionEssential duties and responsibilities:
- Remove construction dust, dirt, and debris from completed projects.
- Clean windows, glass, frames, tracks, and mirrors.
- Vacuum, mop, sweep, and polish floors and surfaces.
- Remove stickers, protective coverings, paint splatter, caulk residue, and adhesives.
- Clean cabinets, countertops, fixtures, appliances, and trim.
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with company procedures and local regulations.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and hand tools.
- Identify and report safety hazards, property damage, or quality concerns.
- Follow site-specific safety requirements and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
- Load, unload, and transport cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Maintain professional interactions and collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure cleaning meets specifications and timelines.
- Complete required documentation, time records, and inspection checklists.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods
- Work on ladders and stairs when necessary
- Perform repetitive motions involving hands, arms, and shoulders
- Ability to work in dusty environments and varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, or construction experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable transportation and regular attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening if required by company policy.
Work Environment:
- Residential and commercial construction sites.
- Exposure to dust, noise, construction materials, and cleaning chemicals.
- Indoor and outdoor work in all Montana seasonal weather conditions.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work based on project schedules.
Badging Requirements:
A 10-year federal background check is required to issue a badge for the facility. Badging and keys are typically issued to the employee. These are State government/City/County properties and must be treated as such. Please understand that as an employee, you will be held liable for these issued items, and they must be turned in immediately to HR should you decide to leave this position.
Criminal charges may be pressed if items are not turned in within 48 HRS
. Final Check will not be issued unless all items are turned in.
