Industrial Maintenance Technician
This role supports production activities across a fast-paced manufacturing plant by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment. The technician ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and promotes a safe working environment while performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and fabrication tasks.
Responsibilities
- Support production activities across the manufacturing plant by maintaining and servicing equipment to ensure consistent operation.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, diagnose root causes of failures, and resolve process problems to minimize downtime.
- Perform repairs on motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 220V/480V electrical systems.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to extend equipment life and prevent unplanned outages.
- Install new equipment and assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and commissioning as needed.
- Perform welding and fabrication work to repair or modify equipment, structures, and components.
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and schematic diagrams to guide troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely production and maintenance documentation, including work orders, maintenance logs, and repair records.
- Promote a strong safety culture by identifying hazards, following safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Respond to maintenance calls in a fast-paced industrial environment, including working overtime or being on-call as required to support production needs.
- Complete other assigned tasks to support plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills
- At least 6+ months of mechanical experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or related environment (training provided).
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to repair and maintain production equipment.
- Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repair of related components.
- Ability to perform repairs on motors, pumps, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.
- Ability to work with 220V/480V electrical systems safely under established procedures.
- Capability to read and interpret schematics and basic technical documentation.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to working safely and following OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Willingness to work overtime or be on-call as required to support production operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Welding experience is a plus, including basic fabrication and repair work.
- Experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Comfort working around mechanical equipment and in an active production environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance and production documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established maintenance procedures.
- Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks and support different areas of the plant as needed.

Work Environment
The role is based in a dirty manufacturing plant environment with frequent exposure to dust, grease, and active mechanical equipment. Work involves regular standing, walking, bending, climbing, and moving around production areas throughout the shift.
