Carpenter

This role involves performing all phases of residential construction from framing through finish work on high-end custom homes. You will read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and construction details, complete advanced layout tasks, and execute complex elements such as roof framing, stair construction, and window and door installation. You will support project leadership with crew coordination and project execution while maintaining safe, organized jobsites and protecting completed work to ensure installation quality meets established standards.

The position also includes mentoring and supervising apprentices and trainees, assisting with planning and material staging, and ensuring all work follows manufacturer installation requirements and best practices.

Work takes place on high-end residential construction sites in a fast-growing Montana market, focusing on custom and architecturally significant homes. The environment involves active construction settings where carpenters use a variety of hand tools and power tools, coordinate closely with Foremen, Superintendents, and crew members, and adhere to strict safety and quality standards. Daily work includes both framing and finish tasks, advanced structural and architectural details, and maintaining clean, organized job areas suitable for luxury home construction.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Big Sky, MT. The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $42.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
