Minimum Qualifications:
Associate of Arts Degree in Human Services One Year of human services experience Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered Working knowledge of principles of family functioning, child development, and dynamics concerning child abuse Ability to communicate effectively with clients, peers and other professionals Experience working with Native American preschool children and their families Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards Montana Drivers license, clean driving record and access to vehicle Must obtain CPR/First Aid training upon employment Must obtain physical and TB test upon employment

Bachelors degree in social work, community service or related field Two or more years of human service experience
Duties and responsibilities:
Serves as liaison between Head Start Program and family Assists families in completing necessary Head Start enrollment procedures Recruits eligible children Assists family in completing family service plan and accessing medical/dental services for children Makes home visits periodically to insure child attendance Makes referrals as needed to other social service and family service agencies Follows up on all referrals and completes appropriate documentation Maintains record keeping and required documents on assigned families Works with other Head Start personnel to ensure program meets all federal requirements Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
