Warehouse Truck Driver (Part‑Time)

The Warehouse Truck Driver is responsible for making pickup and deliveries to Montana State Prison as well as all regional prisons and numerous other facilities, both public and private, across the state of Montana. These deliveries include, but are not limited to, food products, office supplies, clothing, license plates, furniture, janitorial supplies, maintenance supplies and canteen.

This position is also responsible for the receiving and dispatching of statewide deliveries as well as accurate inventory management. It assists with dispatching, scheduling and time entry in the absence of the warehouse manager. The successful candidate should have knowledge of warehousing techniques to include First In First Out (FIFO), merchandising techniques, receiving, warehousing, inventory management, logistics, and distributions in a secure environment.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Physical ability to lift approximately 75‑100 pounds on a daily basis, with occasions requiring up to 125 pounds.
• Ability to maneuver large equipment in small areas with extreme accuracy and to back into restrictive loading docks.

Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.

Prison Rape Elimination Act – Any person who has been convicted of or has engaged in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse; or any person who has been civilly or administratively adjusted to have engaged in the activity as described are not qualified for this position.

Tobacco Free – The use of all tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco products and tobacco substitutes is prohibited in Department of Corrections buildings. In secure care facilities possession of tobacco products is prohibited.

$30.10 – $30.10 hourly.
