In the context of our growth, we are recruiting a freight forwarder for our agency in Dunkerque (Grande-Synthe).

Under the responsibility of the Operations Manager, you will be in charge of finding the best transport solutions for your clients.

• Be in constant vigilance of transport offers and demands (clients, freight exchange…)
• Negotiate the terms of subcontracting contracts based on cost/quality/timeliness ratio
• Develop, retain, and follow a portfolio of clients
• Ensure effective relationships with carriers
• Receive and record transport orders
• Establish freight forwarding files
• Ensure contacts with partners and inform them of loading and unloading locations
• Inform and transmit data of contingencies and disputes to concerned client managers
• Manage any possible disputes: return the merchandise, verify if the dispute is justified
• Control the realized margin and be the guarantor of the contractual service rate to the client
• Knowledge of market prices

• You master computer tools
• You have successful experience within a freight forwarding service (international) or equivalent service
• You master English

• Position to be filled in full-time immediately.
• Remuneration: to be determined according to profile
• Daytime hours from Monday to Friday
