Open until filled Position Function:
Delivers warehouse goods, mail, cafeteria food and copy work; helps district staff transport other materials as needed between district buildings and serves as custodian for warehouse. Performs related duties and general maintenance work as required.
Essential Functions:
Maintains cleanliness and organization of all areas of the warehouse, Loads delivery trucks, picks stock, stores stock and other duties that may be required. Loads truck and safely delivers school food goods or other items to school facilities according to schedule established by the supervisor and food service manager. Picks up and delivers mail, equipment, cafeteria food, and other items as may be necessary.
Inter-district deliveries: assist copy person with paper box movement, deliver copy material to designated parties, pick up bulk mail deliveries from buildings and deliver to mailroom ; pick up and deliver inter district items too large for mail run and too small for two-man delivery crew, all in a timely manner. Maintain warehouse vehicles and forklift in orderly fashion, requesting mechanical attention as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and order of stock. Assist in physical inventories to the extent assigned by supervisor. Substitute for the Robins custodial staff. Maintains front step during inclement weather. Main responsibility is getting food delivered to schools, but requires organizational, initiative, and self-discipline skills to stay on task while completing additional functions of job. Focus on ability to multi-task, remember several things, and execute in an efficient manner.

EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate with a variety of co-workers and supervisors. MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess or be able to obtain a state drivers license and be able to become licensed to drive a forklift. Must maintain a clean driving record and be insurable at normal rates by the district insurance carrier. OTHER
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience working as a truck driver and/or in a shipping receiving position is preferred. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and community. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Ability to reason and multi-task. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
