Role Overview

School Bus Drivers are responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and events, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, regulations, and traffic laws. They operate buses in various weather and traffic conditions, communicate rules and safety requirements to passengers, and address behavioral issues effectively. Drivers assist with boarding and unloading, including students with disabilities, and perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

Candidates must obtain a School Bus License with Passenger Endorsement and pass a medical exam. Essential skills include problem‑solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, planning, organization, adaptability, dependability, and attention to detail. Ability to interpret routes, operate radios, and maintain vehicle cleanliness is required.
