$90,000 - $100,000 Base Salary + Comprehensive Benefits
About the OpportunityOur client, a growing and well-established construction company, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, forecasting, business analysis, and executive decision‑making. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on analyst who enjoys working with large datasets, transforming raw information into meaningful reports, and providing actionable insights that drive business performance.
The ideal candidate will have strong financial analysis experience within construction, manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, or other project‑based industries
, along with advanced Excel skills and a solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
- Analyze monthly financial results, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and operational reports.
- Prepare, enhance, and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and executive reporting packages.
- Perform variance analysis and identify key performance drivers and business trends.
- Support forecasting, financial planning, and month‑end reporting activities.
- Extract, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data to provide meaningful business insights.
- Convert raw data into polished, executive‑level reporting and presentations.
- Develop ad hoc analyses and reports for senior leadership.
- Partner closely with Accounting and Operations teams to improve reporting accuracy and business performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and reporting efficiencies.
- Support the company's transition to SAP and assist with reporting optimization efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of financial analysis and financial reporting experience.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
- Power Query
- Financial Modeling
- Proven ability to work with large datasets (100,000+ rows) and transform raw data into meaningful reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is highly desirable.
- Construction industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting project‑based operations, subcontractor reporting, equipment utilization analysis, or job costing is a plus.
- Detail‑oriented, analytical, and highly dependable with strong business acumen.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, and other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
Strong data and financial analysis experience in the Construction industry required; SAP experience a plus.
