- Summer Camp Lead (Seasonal) — June 22nd - August 21st
Hope’s Promise Respite is seeking a Summer Camp Lead to guide our weekday-only summer program with structure, joy, and a strong behavioral‑health lens. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in youth settings, brings calm leadership to busy days, and understands how to support campers with diverse needs—including those receiving behavioral health or respite services.
You’ll lead daily programming, support staff, and ensure every camper feels safe, included, and celebrated.
What You’ll Do- Lead daily camp operations, transitions, and activity flow
- Support, coach, and guide camp staff to deliver engaging, inclusive programming on site and in the community
- Create a warm, structured environment that supports campers with varying behavioral, sensory, and social needs
- Model trauma‑informed, strengths‑based communication
- Ensure safety protocols, documentation, and schedules are followed
- Communicate with families and team members with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborate with leadership to adjust plans, solve problems, and maintain a positive camp culture
- Transport campers to and from activity locations
- Experience leading youth programs, camps, classrooms, or group activities
- Background in behavioral health, respite care, ABA, special education, or related fields (preferred but not required)
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and solution‑focused in dynamic environments
- Strong communication and team‑support skills
- Creativity, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with kids
- Reliability and professionalism—others can count on you
- Ability to model positive behavior support strategies
- Valid driver's license
