We’re partnering with our client, a leading beauty company, to find a talented Social Media Creator/Strategist in the cosmetic/beauty realm. Candidates from Apparel/Fashion may also be considered.
This is a remote role, with one day per week in our Montclair, New Jersey office for studio shoots as needed, as well as to review and debrief on new products.
(Montclair, New Jersey is approx a 45 min train ride from NYC and the office is near the subway.)
This is a W2 contract role with an estimated duration of 2-3 months.
This role can be 20-30 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated hands‑on content creation skills, including lo‑fi/iPhone‑style content, UGC, and influencer‑led assets.
- Proven ability to brief, conceptualize, and execute paid social content initiatives with a test‑and‑learn approach.
- Experience with in the beauty sector is preferred. Candidates from premium wellness or fashion backgrounds with a strong aesthetic sensibility will also be considered.
- Comfortable operating across both creative execution and strategic planning, with an approximate 50/50 focus on each.
- Ability to self‑direct social copy in alignment with brand voice (formal copywriting expertise not required).
- Access to, and comfort using, an iPhone for content creation.
Qualifications:
- A creative online portfolio is required, showcasing social media ads you have created.
- While professional editing is not required (dedicated editing support is available), basic editing proficiency is considered a plus.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred; however, candidates with more or less experience will be considered based on overall fit and capability.
- Preferred background in cosmetic but will also consider retail or apparel.
- Demonstrated ability to produce diverse content formats, including UGC, influencer content, and lo‑fi style videos.
- Strong familiarity with advertising platforms like Tik Tok, Instagram/Meta, with an understanding of platform‑specific creative standards.
- Experience in executing campaigns with a balance of creative ideation and strategic planning.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to platform updates and trends.
Eligibility requires working over 30 hours per week on an assignment lasting at least 10 weeks.
