Bridal Seamstress

About the Role

Seeking a seamstress with experience in highly detailed tailoring and dressmaking for a bridal and evening wear seamstress position. Alteration Atelier specializes in high end bridal and evening wear, applicants must be capable of executing advanced sewing and tailoring techniques both on machine and by hand. We are a small business and a small team, so we require new hires to quickly be able to communicate effectively and work as part of the team.

Be prepared to work quickly and transition from project to project in short amounts of time.

• Perform alterations on wedding dresses, including hemming, taking in seams, and adjusting bustles.
• Interpret notes and execute the outlined alterations with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Work on multiple gowns per day.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the space.

• 7 years experience in bridal sewing
• Excellent technical sewing skills with proficiency in various fabrics and techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful garments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicative english language skills.
• Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
• Comfortable with JUKI industrial sewing machines.
• Weekend flexibility.
