YCS is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher to service Sawtelle Learning Center in Montclair. The YCS Sawtelle Learning Center offers outstanding educational and related services for students with autistic spectrum disorder, ages 3-21. The schools offer a high degree of structure, excellent staff to student ratio and the systematic use of behavioral teaching techniques. Every aspect of the student's day incorporates the theories of applied behavior analysis (ABA) with an average of 3-3.5 hours of individualized instruction (discrete trial teaching) per day.
Duties Include:
- Provide quality education for the students in accordance with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards.
- Plan curriculum and all I.E.P. materials, prepares lessons and other instructional material to meet individual needs of students, considering the emotional/educational levels of development.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- N.J. Teaching Certificates (Teacher of Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities) for elementary school setting
- Elementary School Certificate
