The Residential Weatherization Energy Auditor will assist with the implementation of a broad range of energy conservation programs by conducting comprehensive energy audits of residential properties, client education, and communication with team members. The position requires knowledge and use of Oracle Net Suite (we will teach you) as well as basic knowledge of Office and Excel, and energy modeling software. Responsible for approximately 100+ Energy Audits per year, which may entail maintaining a workload of 30+ in-progress projects.
Other responsibilities will include generating work orders and answering client and team member inquiries.

- Follow training to become a BPI Certified Building Analyst, then Energy Auditor in PA and NJ, with a goal of obtaining Quality Control Inspector Certification.
- Conduct the Energy Audit at the client's home according to the prescribed format, performing technical tests such as blower door, static pressure, heating system efficiency, CAZ testing, etc.
- Assess and document the condition of the thermal envelope.
- Educate the client whenever possible to achieve energy savings.
- Determine areas of possible health and safety dangers.
- Install some energy‑saving products, such as light bulbs and low‑flow devices.
- Meter appliances for possible replacement.
- Perform energy savings functions such as water temperature turn‑down.
- Communicate with clients.
- Thoroughly document the information gathered at the audit in the field, in written and computerized formats as required.
- Write work order specifications for Synergy3 team members.
- Inspect work to check for conformity with the work order.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant industry experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- BPI Certification preferred; ability to obtain certification within 3–6 months (training provided).
- Flexible schedule with ability to work weekends when needed.
- Well‑spoken with a positive attitude.
- Comfortable talking to anyone and able to conduct in‑home consulting.
- Adaptive mentality and ability to learn quickly.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and no major driving infractions.
- Able to work in different weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold weather.
- Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
- Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach, often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes.
- Use repetitive hand motion and basic hand and power tools.
- Use a ladder at various heights (up to 3 stories).
- Lift, carry, or push up to 50 pounds as needed.
