• Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000‑square‑foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting‑edge technology, and patient‑focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27‑bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse to all assigned patients and maintain a safe patient area.
• Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean work environment.
• Provide safe, effective delivery of patient care in compliance with standards outlined in the facility procedure manual, as well as regulations set forth by the corporation, state, and federal agencies.
• Provide direct patient care for ESRD assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately document information related to the patient treatment.
• Document information in the appropriate patient record.
• Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on Dialysis Flow Sheets.
• Report any significant information or change in patient condition to the R.N.
• Assist with all emergency operational procedures.
• Initiate basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest and respond to emergency situations related to dialysis treatment.
• Safely operate all dialysis‑related equipment.
• Provide minor troubleshooting when necessary.
• Familiarity with all emergency equipment.
• Recognize and respond to machine alarms.
• Participate in staff meetings as scheduled.
• Assist in patient care plan meetings when appropriate.
• Acquire information and knowledge in current practice related to dialysis techniques and principles by participating in scheduled in‑service classes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• High school degree or GED.
• Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis.
• Certification from an accredited dialysis program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Dialysis facility.

Pay Range Minimum: $18.31/Hr.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
