Our client is seeking a Workday Technical Manager to provide technical leadership for a large-scale Workday environment supporting multiple business functions. This role owns the architecture, integrations, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the organization's Workday platform. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise across core Workday modules, with experience supporting additional Workday applications in a complex enterprise environment. This position partners closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and third-party implementation partners to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable Workday solutions while driving continuous improvement across the platform.
Responsibilities Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and administration of the Workday platform. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Workday developers and integration specialists. Design, develop, and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware technologies. Support integrations with enterprise systems such as payroll, benefits, financial applications, identity management, and reporting platforms. Develop custom applications and enhancements using Workday Extend where appropriate.
Ensure platform security, data integrity, system performance, and compliance with organizational standards. Design and support advanced reporting, dashboards, calculated fields, and analytics. Partner with business and functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Oversee technical project delivery, implementation activities, documentation, and vendor coordination. Support Workday feature releases, regression testing, deployments, and production support. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide advanced support for critical system incidents.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and recommend best practices for the Workday ecosystem. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline. 5+ years of hands-on technical experience supporting the Workday platform. Strong experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, Reporting, Calculated Fields, and dashboards/analytics. 2+ years of experience leading technical teams or serving as a Workday Technical Lead.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Experience supporting large, complex enterprise Workday environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting multiple Workday functional areas. Experience developing solutions using Workday Extend. Relevant Workday certifications. Experience with enterprise identity and access management (IAM) integrations. Work Environment Hybrid schedule with regular onsite presence required.
