Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a dayshift position requiring a NJ or compact RN license and expertise in diverse surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Wide range of general and specialty surgeries including bariatric, vascular, neuro, orthopedic, ENT, urology, endoscopic, and robotic cases
- EMR utilized is Epic with Epic experience preferred
- Patient population includes adults undergoing routine and complex surgical interventions
- Scrubs are provided for staff
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- No travel pairs or groups are permitted
- Applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- Former permanent staff must have at least a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved; no time off allowed during the first week of orientation
- Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of Operating Room RN experience is required; 1-2 years preferred
- Skills in a variety of surgical specialties such as general, bariatric, vascular, neuro, orthopedic, ENT, urology, robotic, and endoscopic procedures
- Epic charting experience is preferred
