• Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000‑square‑foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting‑edge technology, and patient‑focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27‑bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

• The Nursing Assistant provides essential, hands‑on daily care to patients, working under the supervision of RNs to ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene.
• Provides basic nursing care to the patient.
• Assists nursing personnel and physicians in emergency care.
• Accepts responsibility for providing safe, appropriate, quality patient care.
• Performs out‑of‑bed/back‑to‑bed as appropriate.
• Observes patient while performing delegated tasks and reports significant findings regarding patient safety, personal needs, and changes in the patient's condition to the licensed nurse.
• Responds to call light promptly and courteously.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient record.
• Assists patient in wheelchair, on stretcher, and ambulating.
• Monitors vital signs, specimen collection, intake and output, meal consumption, height and weight, blood glucose testing/monitoring, and point‑of‑care testing.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred

Job Requirements:

• 1+ years of prior Nursing Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience.
• CNA certification.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
