Title: Quality Control Production Assistant

Reports to: Manager of Production

Salary: $50,000

Employment Status: Full-time, Exempt

The Quality Control Production Assistant supports vocational rehabilitation programs by ensuring that training, production, and employment processes meet established quality, safety, and compliance standards. This role bridges production operations with rehabilitation goals, ensuring that individuals in training can meet job requirements and workplace expectations.

• Quality Control Support: Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards for vocational training and production environments.
• Inspection & Testing: Perform routine inspections, tests, and quality checks on training materials, tools, and production outputs to ensure they meet specifications.
• Defect Identification: Identify and document product or training material quality issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Data & Documentation: Compile and evaluate statistical or performance data to monitor quality and reliability; maintain accurate inspection and test records.
• Process Compliance: Ensure workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations, health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Collaboration: Work with production teams, rehabilitation specialists, and quality control managers to address quality concerns and improve processes.
• Training Support: Assist in preparing training materials, equipment, and environments to meet vocational rehabilitation standards.
• Reporting: Complete detailed reports and performance records to support quality assurance and program evaluation.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in quality control, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of quality control or production assistant experience in a manufacturing, rehabilitation, or vocational setting.
• Skills:
  • Knowledge of inspection standards, QC/QA procedures, and ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and relevant production or quality control software.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑conscious environment.
• Certifications: QC/QA, HACCP, or related industry certifications may be preferred.

• Works in a production or vocational training facility, often in close collaboration with rehabilitation specialists and production staff.
• Requires adherence to safety protocols and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• May involve physical tasks such as handling materials, operating equipment, and maintaining work areas.

• Accuracy and timeliness of quality inspections and reports.
• Ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
