The Field Operations Manager represents Northeast, LLC to clients during the installation of custom windows & doors. By coordinating and communicating with subcontractors and clients before and throughout the installation process, the Field Operations Manager ensures a smooth and productive installation within budgeted costs. Post installation inspection and documentation for quality and completion, including punch lists, are also required to ensure each project is successfully closed and payment collected in full.
Other responsibilities may be assigned and additional training provided over time.
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Operations.
Responsibilities specific to the Field Operations Manager:- Support the selection of installation subcontractors. Source and vet potential installation subcontractors using in-person recruiting, networking and referrals. Ensure all required subcontractor agreements, Certificate of Insurance and tax forms are signed and filed prior to the start of any project work.
- Schedule a pre-installation walk-through with the project general contractor or builder. Whenever possible, this visit should include the site supervisor and property owner. Note specific site conditions, mechanicals, potential hazards and any special conditions. Communicate notes to the Sr. Dir of Operations and installation subcontractor within 3 days of walk-through.
- Ensure site conditions and preparation match the pre-construction approved.
- Coordinate delivery schedules based on client expectations, installation timeline and installation subcontractor availability. Organize and receive deliveries on site, communicating special handling and installation locations as needed.
- Review project installation details, plans and timelines with installation subcontractors prior to the start of installation.
- Ensure potential risks are discussed. These could include safety hazards, material handling challenges, property damage, and substantial completion by the critical due date.
- Visit each active project during installation to assess workmanship, productivity and compliance with established laws, policies and procedures.
- Once substantial completion of the Scope of Work is communicated by the installation subcontractor, a walk-through must be scheduled with the subcontractor and builder or general contractor. Any incomplete or insufficient work is added to a punch list for follow-up. Any work in addition to the contracted Scope of Work will be requested in a Change Order.
- Each project will be closed by documenting the work with photography and a summary report. Final sign off by the general contractor or builder and property owner will be obtained.
- Northeast, LLC facilitates warranty claims for all products to the original owner at the original installation site. When a warranty claim is submitted, The Field Operations Manager will visit the installation site to determine if the product is covered under warranty and will recommend the next steps for repair or replacement of the product to the Sr Dir of Operations for approval.

- Execution of daily operational duties including Shop Opening & Closing Responsibilities, cash control responsibilities, product organization and shop cleanliness.
- Keep all machinery, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order for safe usage.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in construction or window manufacturing/installation – minimum 5 yrs.
- Product knowledge that includes window and door specification and installation requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and product shop drawings.
- Manages workload and prioritizes tasks independently.
- Manages conflict, solves problems and overcomes obstacles.
- Holds self and others accountable to the required actions of each position.
- Relates well and interacts with all levels within the organization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to write, read, and communicate in English.
- Daily travel to project installation sites throughout the Northeast.
- Overnight travel may be periodically required.
